All dogs love to chase things. However, sometimes, chasing can be irritating and you want to know how to stop
dog chasing. So how do you really stop dog chasing so that your dog will know when it is okay to chase and when not
to. Chasing is  not only annoying but it is also going to be dangerous so you
must stop dog chasing at the soonest possible time. However, understand that to stop dog chasing, it will take
some effort.
 Chasing is instinctual in dogs so if you want

dogs may chase cars, bikes, joggers, children, cats or just about anything that is moving.
Yelling at your dog will not stop dog chasing especially when he is really into chasing whatever it is. You will

To stop dog chasing, you must not teach your dog how to chase. What will really help stop dog chasing is to
teach your dog to follow your command.

stop dog chasing:

You must know when your pet is getting ready to start chasing. If this is the case
then you must place your dog in a position where he will not be harmed when he chases others and others
will not be harmed as well. Just becau se your dog chases something or
someone, does that mean he will bite? But if your dog is chasing joggers, there is a high chance
the outcome won`t be one you will like. If your pet is not yet trained to follow your command, do not
allow him loose from the leash. There is a chance he might get out of the yard and out onto the
streets.

Start training your dog to obey your commands more than his desire
to chase after what it is that he wants. Have some of his toys and his treats and walk about 10-15
feet away from your dog and then place the toy or treat on the ground. Of course, the first thing
that he will do is to run to the treat. When he does this, give a command firmly by saying, "NO!" It
may take some time before you can perfect this. But if you are just patient and consistent, you will
soon be able to make him follow you and he will not touch the treat even though he wants it very
much. Your dog will not touch the treat or the toy unless you tell him to do so. Now when your dog
has already mastered the command, you can ask for the help of a friend or a family member. Ask that
person to jog by your house and see if your pet chases him. When your dog starts to chase the person,
give him the same command that you use when you keep the treat away from
him.
Remember that this training is not going to be effective right away. Do
not expect to have results overnight. But all you have to do is to be persistent so your dog will know that
you are in control.

effective in teaching your dog not to chase.You must make the training pleasurable and let him know
